Anita Schlarb is a talented Canadian photographer interested in capturing images of nature, colourful and unusual birds, wild, domestic, and aquatic animals, and scenic landscapes that she discovers in her travels. She has an exceptional ability to find artistry in nature.
She is a member of Pakenham Maple Run Tour, Almonte Crown and Pumpkin Tour, Almonte Art in the Attic, and West Carleton Red Trillium Tour. In the Ottawa area, she belongs to Ottawa Art Lending, and the Manotick Art Association. In these shows she connects with other artists of different mediums including other photographers, painters, and those who work with stone, wood, and glass.
Anita is a professional piano teacher, an excellent reviewer of her many travels, and enjoys working out with free weights, walking, reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, and playing scrabble. She proudly holds a Third Degree Black Belt in Taekwon-Do.
Anita is devoted to her husband Bill, to their two daughters Valerie and Elisabeth, to her extended family, her friends, teachers, students, and to God. She is excited to be able to share, through her digital imagery, her enthusiasm for the seasons of life and nature.
“It is my hope that these photographs will capture the beauty and the majesty of the natural world, and that they will encourage the preservation of our wildlife and ecology.”
