Carole Mundy – Silver Jewellery
Carole took her first course in Silver Smithing 15 years ago. Although she enjoys creating traditional jewellery settings featuring gemstones, her work quickly evolved into a free form style. Carole says she is being “Inspired by Nature”. She creates molds for silver casting from acorn caps, maple keys, cedar leaves/cones and cactus from her properties in Calabogie and Arizona. The resulting silver castings are made into pendants usually combined with gemstones. She also works with copper using heat colouring and air chasing techniques.
For this Studio Tour, Carole is partnering with Ann Merla and will be showing her jewellery at Ann’s studio in Springtown.
