Judi Fraser – H’artful Design

There is so much beauty that surrounds us in our daily lives. The secret is to take the time to stop and notice them. Hello, my name is Judi Fraser and I am a mixed media artist from Calabogie. Even as a young girl I had a unique way of viewing the world. Looking past the obvious and imagining how a little creativity could transform anything into something unique. This passion is the main creativity behind my art, which comes in many different forms. Landscapes captured in watercolour, or the freedom of how alcohol and acrylic ink flow. My love for nature also shows up in many of my creations.  An 85 year old maple stump and resin is turned into a one of a kind table. Wild flowers to add depth and texture to landscape art, created from hand dyed Mulberry silk fibers. A dried and twisted piece of root found on a hike, in it’s raw shape inspired the transformation into an eagle inside of a maple ring with light. Possibilities are endless. My happy place is when I can share my creations with people.
